GoldProspectingWA was the brainchild of Bruce Hearder. An avid amateur gold prospector, ex-gold exploration geologist and professional software dewveloper who identified the existing platforms offereing geological data where slow and relatively dificult to use.

He wanted a site where data was displayed quickly and in an intuitive format.

He did not want a website that only seasoned professionals could use, but a website for the masses, that had enough info, for average amateur gold prospectors could make informed decisions when researching possible gold locations.

Currently there is no plans to develop a mobile app of the website, but that may change in the future.
